My story

Hi!  My name is Vikram. I’ve spent more than 25 years inspiring, motivating, and empowering people to excel in their careers, relationships and life. I like to consider myself a master connector and career builder who lays the foundation and empowers my clients to build their perfect career path and grow their leadership capabilities while helping teams be the most effective and productive. My own career journey started as a lone Information Technology person in a small startup that sold security systems. I was the IT guy who did accounting, payroll, inventory, MIS reports, in short anything to do with computers. I joined a software startup as employee #6, where I worked for the next 7 years. I started as a developer, and in true startup fashion wore multiple hats of Database Administrator, Network Administrator, Exchange Server Administrator, Engineering Manager, Operations lead, Account Manager, Pre-sales engineer, Salesperson, Support lead, Quality Control lead and many other roles over those 7 years. Next I worked for the General Electric Company for nearly 17 years as an Enterprise Solutions Architect, architecting and planning the deployment of large Enterprise Resource Planning systems like the Oracle E-Business Suite and SAP Business Suite and their surrounding ecosystems. I next joined Amazon Web Services Professional Services team as a Customer Delivery Architect. The role was to serve as an Enterprise Architect for the customers to design and sell solutions for their business problems by using AWS services delivered by our consultants. Currently I am working as a Principal IT Architect for Chick-fil-A Supply. The journey of working for startups then for the world's most admired company (GE), followed by world's most customer obsessed company (Amazon) to finally working for world's most caring company (Chick-fil-A) has been enriching where I learned how organizations scale, what keeps an employee relevant and top of mind, and how organizations make people decisions for promotions and succession, or even separation. 

During this journey, I loved writing, leading teams, coaching, and mentoring people both inside and outside my workplace including startup founders. I have developed what I now call my proven Metaphor Coach Life Strategies®, which first diagnoses your issue and then gives you mental clarity and the pros and cons lists of each decision. I confidently determined I wanted to be a Career Coach who guided the clients to a position of mental clarity leading to great decisions. Combining 25+ years of business, management, and leadership expertise with my unique career trajectory gives me the 100,000 foot view into peoples’ careers and helps me partner with each client to find the right strategic pathway forward, whether that path means obtaining a new job at the right company, transitioning to a new career, recovering from a termination, re-entering the workforce after a long absence or moving into entrepreneurship. It has also provided me with an opportunity to help leaders thrive and help teams rebuild trust within a team or cross-functionally to relieve swirl, stress and help each team optimize its potential. Every path is unique and my coaching will help you achieve your desired outcome.
